Epic Pieces from my Closet (I just can't let go of)

Above are what I like to call "Epic Closet Items". They are the pieces in your closet that you just cannot part ways with. They have been through so many fun events and brought along so many fun memories it would be sinful to toss them.

 Now that I put them all together in one post, I'm realizing that guilty pleasure purchases for me consist of printed patterns.

Follow if you Fancy has become one of my favorite posting repeats. It takes a lot for me to follow some sort of trend or rule when it comes to fashion but I am really digging the denim on denim style. That is,  as long as the denims don't match each other. They should be different washes from one another.

Because it's Sunday

Because it's Sunday, I am reminiscing about last Sunday's adventures with my little ponies. Thought I'd share some more photos from my New York trip.

 I am looking forward to a new week of new outfits and inspirations and I hope you are too! 

I have been following Angela Blick's blog here and every purchase she makes inspires me to shop more and more (big trouble). I have some fantastic outfits you will see in the coming weeks due to Angela, Black Friday's online sales, and the cleaning out of my closet this weekend.

 I am planning quite a big move in January and need to take only the essentials from my closet. This might possibly be the hardest task I have ever had to do. I have been slowly dispensing pieces to the Goodwill in hopes that someone special will buy these cute clothes, but truly, I am having a hard time letting go of some epic pieces in my closet!

Consulting with my Closet

 I have always been a huge fan of cheesy movie montages. So today, consulting with my closet consisted of rummaging through my hats and playing dress up, montage style, with my sister Joanna.

When I was a little girl playing dress up was the ultimate favorite pastime. I would try on my sisters hats, dresses, gloves, high heels, and jewelry. In retrospect it's pretty clear as to why I chose the fashion industry as a career path.  

What I love most about today's post? It shows us not taking ourselves too seriously, which happens to be one of my recent mantras.

I Don't Eat Turkey (or meat): Happy Thanksgiving Though

I woke up this morning excited to face another day, another day of being thankful for my life and the choices I have made in it. Another day of being thankful for love, creative spirits, dreams, sunshine, doggies, tofu, music, pisces, and unicorns.

It's true....Sometimes you just want to dress around your bag. This mornings outfit is inspired by Miss Chloe. 

My Chloe bag has been with me for about five years now. She was one of those purchases that I felt guilty about for a second but then realized there are just some purchases in life that are necessary for your well being.
